Technology & Digital Onboarding

Students in grades 7 and 8 are issued a standardized, school-owned and supported laptop to use both in and outside the classroom and are required to bring the fully-charged laptop to school every day. We intend that students will use their device frequently throughout the school day and at home for their learning. Laptops should be kept in good working order.

New Middle School students must attend our Mandatory Digital Onboarding session on Monday, August 25 from 12-5 pm. During this meeting, students will participate in digital core values training in order to gain access to their Westridge network and Microsoft accounts. Westridge network accounts are required for accessing school resources and communicating with classmates over the summer. Students will begin training in Canvas, our learning management system, as well as Veracross, our hub of info and resources for students.

Family Laptop Contracts will be sent via email over the summer and must be completed by Tuesday, August 19.

Sample Schedule

Curious about what a day in Middle School looks like?

Uniforms

All Westridge students are required to wear a uniform designed to support a school setting where girls feel comfortable and able to dress appropriately for a learning environment. Find out how to purchase your uniform below.

Books

Middle School students do not need to purchase their own textbooks as they are included in the program fee. Some books are given to students to keep, while others are classroom copies that must be returned at the end of the school year.

Dining

Let’s head to the Commons! Westridge Dining Services provides the community with a variety of healthy, nourishing (and delicious!) menu options while meeting the needs of all ages, activity levels, diets, and preferences.

Middle School Athletics

Tigers, Tigers, hear us roar!

Middle School students compete in the Middle School Independent League in basketball, flag football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball, as well as in the Interscholastic Equestrian League. Middle School athletics provides each student the opportunity to participate on a team, and students are grouped by ability to support appropriate learning and challenge for both casual and competitive athletes.

WELCOME TO THE

Bus & After School Program

Childcare for the Westridge After School Program is supervised by the Child Educational Center (CEC). This program is for students in grades 4-8 and runs from dismissal until 6 pm.

Students are able to stay on campus and play with friends, do school work (supervised program for both the Lower and Middle School), collaborate on projects, and participate in activities and clubs facilitated by the CEC. This extra time helps create a sense of belonging for the girls, an awareness that this campus is a special place just for them.

We currently offer bus service to the Los Feliz area (bus routes are determined based on demand).
